2 Day Introduction to Social Impact Assessment

One of the major challenges facing third sector organisations today is how to identify, measure and communicate the added value they bring to society. 

As opportunities increase for the Third Sector to contract with private and public sector organisations, it is becoming increasingly necessary to translate this positive effect into demonstrable data – data which will back up bids, tenders and funding applications and improve your chance of securing future work.

In 2006, Social Enterprise London, in partnership with the University of Brighton Business School, developed a SIMPLE framework approach to conceptualising and evidencing social impact.  SEL are now offering a 2 day introductory training workshop to social enterprises wishing to start visualising and articulating the positive contributions they make to society.

During this 2 day programme participants will:

  • Undertake a light touch strategic review of their organisation in order to understand where they are best able to make social impact
  • Map out the processes through which impact is created
  • Begin designing Key Impact Indicators with which to collect evidence of these positive outcomes

The cost of this course is £200 plus VAT for members of the London Social Enterprise Network and £275 plus VAT for non-members.
