Sergio Olivares
Board member
Sergio Olivares is a staff member of Greenwich Co-operative Development Agency a local agency that has operated since 1982 and it is one of the few operating CDA’s in the capital. Sergio has worked as a co-operative development worker and trainer since the mid-80’s and became its Director in 2003.
Greenwich CDA has been involved in the development of unique social enterprises in Greenwich and over the years has acquired experience and reputation widely recognised by stakeholders and networks across the capital. Greenwich is home to important social enterprises such as GLL, Greenwich Credit Union and Greenwich Community Food Co-op that in their own dimension have created sustainable solutions in the market place. Over the past years Greenwich CDA has become an important player in the area of food and sustainability delivering training to public sector organisations and communities across London and provides substantial services to schools, hospitals, prisons and care homes in many London Boroughs.
Sergio has been on the SEL Board for the past three years and has been a member of the Staffing Sub-committee for the past two.
