Sophi Tranchell MBE is the Chief Executive of Divine Chocolate and co-Chair of Social Enterprise London.
Over the last nine years, Sophi and her team have built Divine Chocolate Ltd from a wonderful idea to a dynamic robust business turning over £10 million with £500k profit. She has achieved a high profile as a champion of the company's mission to improve the lives of smallholder cocoa farmers in West Africa through a fairer trading relationship.
Sophi is also a founding trustee of Trading Visions, an education charity established to build awareness of fair trade issues and to amplify the voices of small scale producers. In 2007 Sophi won the ‘real business /CBI first woman' award for retail and property.
Divine was later voted Best Social Enterprise at the Enterprising Solutions Awards, and Sophi was invited to become one of the Social Enterprise Ambassadors. She was awarded the MBE in January 2009.
