Matthew Thomson joined London Community Recycling Network in September
2006 from the School for Social Entrepreneurs, and helped set up REalliance Community Interest Company in 2008. LCRN and REalliance support and represent voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in managing resources sustainably, to maximise environmental and community benefit.
The Third Sector is known for leading and innovating at the top of the waste hierarchy and there are nearly 200 voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations in London engaged in reuse, recycling, composting and other waste prevention activities.
REalliance CIC is WRAP's delivery partner in their Third Sector Capacity Building Programme. LCRN was voted Britain's Most Innovative Charity 2008. Matthew has worked for over ten years with social enterprises and community groups, after several jobs in the private and public sectors. He serves on the London Waste and Recycling Board Investment Committee.
