Aspire Foundation
SEL developed and assisted with the implementation of a systematic approach for evaluating the impact of Aspire’s national network of social enterprises, who work to assist homeless people into employment.
Fareshare
As part of the enhance programme, SEL worked with Fareshare to develop a detailed partnership strategy for the development of trading activities.
Groundswell
SEL assisted Groundswell, a leading national charity in the homelessness sector, with evaluating and planning for their future. We provided a full business plan including market research, financial scenario modelling and a marketing strategy for a consultancy and training venture through which they propose to generate independent revenue to fulfil their social aims.
Groundwork Camden and Islington
SEL worked with Groundwork to prepare a feasibility study for a recycling scheme in Islington. The study evaluated financial, operational, HR, partnership and investment issues. We made a series of recommendations to the project Steering Group and the project was initiated shortly after completion of the study.
IDeA
SEL provided expert knowledge to local authority commissioners at regional events as part of The Improvement and Development Agency for Local Government’s National Programme for Third Sector Commissioning. The workshops provided opportunities for commissioners to understand how third sector provision can effectively be linked to public sector need through a common approach and understanding of outcomes commissioning.
London Remade
SEL worked with London Remade on the development of a new service. Our work focused on clearly defining the service and identifying the detailed processes required to ensure that the service would be successful upon launch.
North Fulham New Deal For Communities
SEL assisted North Fulham NDC with assessing the feasibility of existing and potential projects to be sustainable and to deliver long-term benefit to the community. This work was undertaken as part of the NDC's legacy and sustainability strategy planning.
The National Social Marketing Centre
SEL assisted the NSMC with formulating a plan to become independent from the public sector as a social enterprise.
Refugee Council
SEL provided short term project management expertise to the Refugee Council to support the start-up phase of a new UK project.
Southwark Works!
Social Enterprise London worked with Southwark Works! in a social enterprise programme supported by Southwark Alliance, the local strategic partnership in the London Borough of Southwark. Our work included providing support for social enterprises from the ground up, creating a social enterprise vision and strategy for the borough as part of its Neighbourhood Renewal Employment Programme and a showcase day featuring the depth and variety that Southwark has to offer in the sector.
