Social Enterprise London is running an innovative training programme to support senior managers and directors of third sector organisations in developing the skills that will enable their organisations to excel at a time of great economic and social change.
The programme encompasses four modules worth £500, and is run over two days. As well as covering crucial areas of leadership and management, the days provide vital opportunities to learn from and build relationships with fellow senior managers from across the third sector.
Modules covered:
- Leadership and strategy – focus on the dynamics of leadership, communicating your vision, maximising your skills and managing change
- Finance and resource management – turn sound financial management from a requirement into a tool for increased efficiency
- Project and risk management – focus on the principles and challenges of managing efficient, dynamic projects and minimising risk
- Social impact assessment – understand and articulate how your organisation delivers positive social impact with SEL’s framework for measuring social outcomes
Funding is available from the Skills Funding Agency to fully subsidise the cost of this programme (£500 unmatched funding excl. VAT). The courses are only open to London based organisations with 5 or more paid staff (full- or part-time).

In order to be eligible, delegates must hold a senior management role in an organisation with 5 -9 employees. For those with 10-249 employees (you many count volunteers towards this) a key manager can attend. The course is only available for paid staff members. One attendee per organisation is allowed unmatched funding. An organisation is only allowed to apply for the grant once.
