Big Issue Invest Ltd (BII) is a specialist provider of finance to social enterprises. Wholly owned by The Big Issue magazine, BII is led by social entrepreneurs and staffed by social financiers. BII finances social enterprises throughout the UK, including the trading arms of charities, non-profit distributing firms and, on an exceptional basis, socially driven, for-profit businesses. The Executive Assistant and Business Support Manager position covers a broad range of responsibilities intended to support the CEO, BII senior management and investment staff while providing a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure to the UK social enterprise sector and experience in social investment specifically. The position covers a variety of responsibilities ranging from administration and executive assistance, co-ordinating the company's marketing activities, and running the on-going internship and volunteer program. The ideal candidate will be able to balance the competing demands of the organisation, prioritising while maintaining a keen attention to detail. Successful execution of the Executive Assistants responsibilities requires excellent communication and time management skills, a team-oriented working style and an ability to act independently and proactively.
