Launching Diversity

The creative industries is all about communicating and interacting with an audience and organisations constantly aim to increase the volume that they engage and communicate with. Embracing diversity and reflecting a diverse workforce is a prime way of increasing audiences.

Media social enterprise, Catch 22 recently expanded its business model with the launch of its new diversity recruitment service, LaunchPad.

The new service compliments existing recruitment strategies by providing diverse talent ready for entry level positions in editorial and affiliated sectors including production, digital, marketing, research, sales and PR/communications.

LaunchPad defines 'diversity' in terms of disability, gender, class, sexuality and ethnicity. It provides a cost effective service and seeks to work in partnership with leading media companies to add value to their output.

In just a matter of weeks, LaunchPad has already secured permanent work for its candidates.

26-year-old and Catch 22 alumni, John-James Anisiobi was recruited by the Evening Standard via LaunchPad, he said: “Working on the showbiz desk I get to interview celebrities on a regular basis which is amazing. LaunchPad is a great platform for someone like me who never thought they'd get a to work in media”
