Social Investment Explained
Over the last decade, there has been a significant increase in the emergence of social investment providers and intermediaries. There has also been growing interest among mainstream banking institutions to engage with social enterprise, and Government is committed to achieving its vision of a thriving social investment market to help build a bigger, stronger society.
The journey to successfully securing investment, for whatever phase of the business development – start up, growth or scale – is not without challenges. The investment market is often a complex and fragmented landscape to navigate. Social enterprises have demonstrated an ability to deliver services that are better tailored to the needs of each community and It is of vital importance, therefore, that they are able to access the investment needed to continue their work.
