Procurement & Tenders

Successfully delivering products and services through the procurement process, whether selling to an individual or to a multi-national organisation is fundamental to the success of any business. Much of SEL’s work centres on enabling social enterprises to successfully bid for more contracts, win more tenders, and enter more supply chains.

Procurement and tendering opportunities for social enterprises will be posted on this site shortly, but more information and support for successfully bidding for contracts can be found on the links below:

London Borough of Southwark, cafe and catering services

The London Borough of Southwark (“LBS”) has relocated to a new, purpose designed, office building at 160 Tooley Street. The building commenced occupation in March 2009, but without the cafe being operational and offering only a vended service to staff.  The intention is now to progress with the fit-out and opening of the café as building fit-out is completed.  To this end, LBS is inviting initial “expressions of interest” to provide café services for Council staff and catering services for meeting rooms in the new premises. The proposal is that these two service elements will be tendered at the same time, but participants may choose whether to bid for both elements or one element only

This Invitation for Expressions of Interest (“IEI”) has been prepared to provide essential and relevant information on the proposed services and facilities, together with details of the format and content of the response that is required by LBS at this stage.

Following full consideration of the expressions of interest that are received, LBS will select a final shortlist of organisations which will then be invited to submit a detailed operational and financial tender.

Application deadline: 26/08/2009
