Social Enterprise London worked with Southwark Works! in a social enterprise programme supported by Southwark Alliance, the local strategic partnership in the London Borough of Southwark. Our work included providing support for social enterprises from the ground up, creating a social enterprise vision and strategy for the borough as part of its Neighbourhood Renewal Employment Programme and a showcase day featuring the depth and variety that Southwark has to offer in the sector. SEL worked with over 70 organisations and individuals over the 2 year programme who were interested in business support to develop their business ideas and create sustainability to their organisations, such as Bermondsey Community Nursery and Escape, an innovative training organisation.
